The Automatic PCB Guide Hole Drilling Machine GE-HS-550 is a high-speed vision-guided drilling system designed to create perfect registration and tooling holes in aluminum carrier boards used downstream for solder-mask screen printing and automated PCB assembly. Equipped with a high-resolution CCD camera, 6 motion axes and a 30,000–60,000 RPM spindle, the GE-HS-550 delivers ±0.02 mm positional accuracy at 60–120 holes/min for 0.3–5.0 mm hole diameters across PET, FR4 and metal-plate PCB substrates.

Designed for full-shift production, the machine automatically loads panel fiducials, computes the optimal drill path from the CAD reference, and drills each hole in sequence without operator intervention. The same platform is widely deployed in double-sided PCB lines and HDI production cells where layer-to-layer registration is critical.

Beijing Golden Eagle manufactures the GE-HS-550 in-house at its Beijing facility. All spindles, drives and vision modules are CE-certified and backed by a 12-month machine warranty with 24 months on the PLC and HMI.

Process Flow

  1. Load panel — operator places aluminum or FR4 panel on the work table; CCD camera scans fiducials.
  2. Fiducial recognition — high-resolution CCD locates reference marks and computes target coordinates.
  3. Auto drill path — PLC generates optimal drill sequence based on CAD data and panel layout.
  4. Spindle ramp-up — spindle accelerates to programmed RPM (30,000–60,000) under closed-loop control.
  5. Drill holes — drill bit descends and retracts for each target position; depth controlled by Z-axis.
  6. Vision verify — post-drill camera inspects hole position and diameter for quality sign-off.
  7. Unload panel — finished panel is auto-ejected or signaled for operator pickup; cycle repeats.
